HARDWICK

Hardwick is a small village of around a dozen houses, a farm, Manor Farm, and the Grade II listed parish church, the Church of St. Mary the Virgin.

Parts of the church date from the 12th or 13th century. The chancel is Decorated Gothic and is 14th century. The nave was rebuilt in the 15th century with a large new Perpendicular Gothic west window. In the late 19th century the church was virtually rebuilt and the south aisle, porch and bell-turret were added. Full information about the church of St. Mary the Virgin can be found here.

The house at Manor Farm was built late in the 16th century. It is now a Grade II* listed building.

Hardwick is about 4.5 miles north of Bicester.
