MERTON

Merton is a small village consisting mainly of pleasant 20th century and older houses with just the odd thatched cottage. The M40 motorway passes close by.

In the centre of the village is the Grade I listed Decorated Gothic parish church of St. Swithun. The 15th century clerestory is Perpendicular Gothic, as are the chancel windows and one window in the south aisle. Full information about St. Swithun's Church can be found here.

Merton is about four miles south of Bicester.
