Crawley
Crawley is a very small village, probably best described as a hamlet, about 2.5 miles north of Witney on the River Windrush. It is centred on a 5-ways cross roads.
The former Crawley Mill on the River Windrush was part of the blanket-making industry of Witney. Originally water-powered by a mill stream, it was later converted to steam power. It is now an industrial estate.
At the top of the hill overlooking the village is a former Church of England chapel of ease which is now a private house.
